Damn, what a weak ass BBC porns (sic) diz year

Yuja whoring out daRach 3 n Orgy cumming in da T1? Again?

Da only possibly interesting thing here would be da Gavrykyuk unleash.
I heard him live, very elegant playing - a bit lacking in quality penetrating tone n projection - mildly too mellow fo moi.
But exceptionally polished as any mofo dese days

Where da hell is da Trif? Da vol? Hello mofos, why da ghey all symphondick concerts.
We need da damn Berlioz Fantasdick Symph again, 2 days in a row?

I know it is a very English tradition to not take Liszt seriously, but is there genuinely nothing at all by him in the proms?

Well aside from the cuncertos, only les preludes is barely in the symphonic rep. So it would cunstitute something out of the ordinary. I did see lpo do the Faust symphony when I was there.

Not saying they they couldn’t/shouldn’t play something but it’s not surprising and there’s plenty of other off the beaten track rep being played.

We need da damn Berlioz Fantasdick Symph again, 2 days in a row?

It is his anniversary, so I guess so.

He did compose other things.

Yeh, but it’s like saying theres not going to be any doubles in the Beethoven anniversary next year…

It will probably sell out so people that missed out can hear it. I don’t know. Don’t care really.

Speaking of which, anyone going to any complete Beethoven cycles (whether sonatas or symphonies) next season? We don’t get a complete sonatas from a single pianist as far as I know. Unless Barenboim plans to fumble his way through them again. I’m excited to see the Ninth live for the first time.

I’m definitely attending Levit’s sonata cycle, and am considering the Symphonies as well. I don’t know though, from what I remember the symphony series was titled “Women vs Beethoven” or similar and had all female conductors coupled with works by all female composers. My spider senses detect an agenda.

We’ll also get the complete string quartets and the complete violin sonatas, with Quartetto Casals and F.P Zimmermann, which could be fun as well. I need to talk to someone stringy about the performers.

That reminds that VBM was a finalist recently in some female conductors competition despite the fact that she’s only ever conducted two things in her career.

Three, if you count a zimmer frame :stuck_out_tongue:
