Nice! I wonā€™t be able to capture this though, leaving on vacation tomorrow.

Are you going to visit your relatives in Damascus? Or was that Aleppo?

Yes, exactly - Raqqa actually - Iā€™ve just bought a great luxurious villa there a guy called Mohammad sold me over e-mail a few weeks ago. Only $5k, and the pic he sent was really nice. Completely white with a big American flag on top (wtf?), nice lawn, fountains etc, and a big heavy duty fence. Obama has been there too since Iā€™ve seen him hold a speech on the lawn just outside, so I think it must be famous to the locals. Going there to check it out!

haha Respect this Desert Idyll & the faith to join it.

Xsdx, are you Syrian?

Insincere, rather

Iā€™m strictly Slovenian, Welsh, Eritrean, Danish, Irish, Saudi & Hungarian.

In France, many Syrians speak Romanian.

haha damn, is this the positive unintended consequence of transmigration / refugee camps?

Haha no this was just a joke, because the Roms like to put out signs saying syrian refugee family when theyā€™re out begging in the street.

damn thatā€™s crooked & shameless. Iā€™ve encountered Romanian children begging but havenā€™t seen that.

So the Favorin recital I attended last year has finally been broadcast, but unfortunately it seems that they havenā€™t included the encores, which are miasing from my recording because I had to go to another concert.

Iā€™m curious what encores he played. Iā€™m desperate to hear another Tannhauser from him, among other things.

Either way, thank for sharing. Iā€™m going to cap it since I loved that concert.

Actually, it looks like you can get the whole concert in the ā€œbonus webā€ part.
Iā€™m guessing the encores were Rachmaninoff, since I donā€™t remember him playing that as part of the programme.

Good news! Russiaā€™s high-quality Tchaikovsky Hall website will broadcast Pletnevā€™s Beethoven / Liszt program this Sunday at 16:00 GMT. Fuck da Vlad will be on da bus home. Someone should record this because itā€™s not 100% that they will post it in their online archive
