Yes, Zdenek Macal with the ONF (iirc). The date was also mentioned (think it was 98 at the TCE).

Thanks! I just found out, it was Jun 25, 1998 with Macal and ONF, at ThĆ©Ć¢tre des Champs ElysĆ©es

If anyone can grab Favorinā€™s Tchaikovsky 1st Concerto tomorrow from meloman.ru, that would be helpful (not sure if the performance is available after the broadcast or not).

Did anyone grab the Cho concert last night (Cho plays Beethoven, Messiaen, Schubert, Frank and Liszt in Washington - Schedule // - www.worldconcerthall.com) or the Debargue from a few days ago?

Debargue - Scarlatti, Medtner, Liszt

Debargueā€™s new programme from Moscow, a bunch of Scarlatti sonatas, Medtner op 22, and Liszt Dante. I tried to cap it with RMC but it didnā€™t work, anyone wanna have a go? I kind of donā€™t want to watch it, because I spoiled my last recital with him by hearing the programme too many times prior to attending the concert.

Oh, I didnā€™t see that you mentioned the Debargue. I tried a couple of methods using Replay Media Catcher but they didnā€™t work.

Thanks. Sorry, I searched to see if it was available but didnā€™t find it.

I guess the Cho recital is from a few years ago, so Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll find a copy eventually.

This was only little Cho, not the CHO!
So I decided to skip.

I really regret he cancelled here earlier this year (the big CHO). I think he plays well, but I still donā€™t have a good grasp of him. I listened to a Chopin concerto with him on youtube a year back or so which I really liked, but earlier this spring I was on the hunt for a good set of Chopin Preludes and there I must admit he ended up pretty far down the list (while da Trufonov curiously ended up pretty high :tm:).

Iā€™ll hear and record him next month, I think. Iā€™m undecided on him. I remember really liking his Debussy but being fairly indifferent to his Chopin.

lots of younger pianists I donā€™t know have recitals & broadcasts

I havenā€™t had time to keep up the schedules in several years. I normally become aware of things through Alex, or friends who follow individual pianists and pass their recordings on. Cho could be good here, but I must admit my curiosity in him has cooled.

Yeah nothing interesting there yet. Wake me up when he becomes weird or homosexually refined.

I can not rememberā€¦ Is Melnikov the Melnikov from the Tchaikovsky or Melnikov from the 00s?

Alexander is the older bald one with the very good Prok & Scriabin CDs. Alexey (kidā€™s name IMO) is the younger one.

Had Cho on schedule, but since Iā€™m travelling in CA I confused time zones. Somebody could catch his Liszt sonata?

Well, here we go ā€¦

There will be a S.Richter broadcast on October 27, 2019 at 22.00 CET on Polish Radio Chopin presenting recordings of Chopin Polonaises and Scriabin pieces played at the Warsaw recital on 15.11.1992

Since Iā€™m momentarily traveling at the US west coast Iā€™m unable to capture this.

Can someone maybe record broqdcast of Trifonov & Babayan on 10th of November?
