This badass idea. Trying to relearn how to play is kind of fun. As said before made me enjoy certain Recs much nore. Currently Da Ho octaves in his pag 2. One of most amazing physical feats ever - and to think he was swinging big dick Rep like the Don Juan around that time aside from what we know. That quality of playing physicality and personality must have blown away audiences at time. Pre 40s Horowitz GOAT!
Yeah I agree, and it’s even in less outwardly virtuosic pieces like valse oubliee and 10/8. The brio he played with was incredible. I can completely understand why everyone was so blown away by him. What I’d give for a recording of his graduation recital, a 17 year old playing Rach son 2, late beethoven, DJ etc brillliantly enough that the jury gave him a standing ovation.
