What I love about any Saint-Saens concerto is that whatever instrument he used, he used it to its fullest. Ranges, speeds, techniques, what have you. SS was definitely finicky in this regard, and that led to some great music.

Oh yes, aside, just because you (by that, I mean whoever) don’t like the composer doesn’t mean he’s “FLAMING GHEY” or “shit” or whatever.
