Finally learned it after procrastinating for a VERY long time.
Amazing !
Whoa, I feel like I received the ultimate stamp of approval! Thanks so much!
Awesome job!
I’ve been listening a lot to Eckardstein’s rec of the Gryaznov transcription. Yours is every bit as good.
Sankyuu!
Well that’s super dope! Thank you again! I initially contemplated learning the Gryaznov version, but there were occasionally “too many notes,” while the Borwick had too many plain tremolos. I had to pick and choose what I thought worked on the piano, so I added harmonics flourishes and changed up the registers to make it seem like the notes were going somewhere. I also took ideas from George Copeland version that Debussy approved of!

Really good!
Interested in doing any of my Debussy transcriptions?
I unfortunately already made my own Beau Soir and started on Nuit d’etoiles, but I would love to play your other vocal and chamber music transcriptions!!
Just heard diz mofo again. @karatechopin
captivating from first note to last n does not sound like u juzt learnt it
Platinum rezpek
Diz muted 88 sound randomly juz wikid
Whut was da mic u used? Da zoom recorder?damn.
Masterful playing
Damn dude, thanks so much! I started thinking about it years ago and never got around to it while I was in school (because you know, school ) and my technique wasn’t good enough to get different colors and sheeyat. (Planning four years, actual learning/experimentation three weeks-ish)
Anyways, I used a pair of Rode NT5s and pointed them in a bass-heavy position because the bass sounded super unclear when I did the usual setup for piano on full-stick.
Sounds truly wikid.
Damn, da closed 88 sonority might be wikid on Chopin too…
I’ve never thought about it for Chopin, but might be worth a try!
Might help wiz da anti-percuzzive aesthedic
Word! Also, I must say that da SDC has been the most supportive group of mofos regarding this transcription so I’m really thankful to you guys! None of my friends or colleagues I’ve shared it with have really commented on it at all, so I was a bit concerned about its quality.
