New Horowitz box set for 2019

#1

Just noticed on another group that a new Horowitz box set has been announced for spring 2019, the “Golden Jubilee Edition” comprising 22 discs. It is currently listed for pre-sale at Amazon.ca

The most logical thing would be for it contain the Yale collection concerts. But that would have nothing to do with a Golden Jubilee. So it’s a little confusing. If they were to create an edition of the Golden Jubilee concerts it would have to contain pirated versions because to my knowledge there isn’t 22 discs worth of RCA/Sony material recorded in 1978.

Yes, who knows!

Until details are released nothing can be confirmed. It is also possible the the number 22CD is wrong…

That would be… sad?

We want da rest ov da Yale stuff!

#8

Looks like the release date has been pushed back to October 2019. Still no details on contents.

#9

Interesting…

#10

Anybody figure out what this was? Looking at budget for CDs and sheet.

#11

Bumping this. So with that other Historic Return box set just announced, I wonder what the status of this one is. Given it was titled Golden Jubilee, it would seem to be a distinct set, not the same set with a mistaken title.

#12

Incredibly ghey releases. No 40’s material?! Fuck!
