@iamcanadian randomly, is there any more Feinberg from that insane 1948 recital with the Scrib 5?
I fuckin love Feinberg and his book in Russian is a goddamn revelation.

Not that I know of. I don’t even know what the program was. Hopefully that entire recital is in the vaults somewhere. :crossed_fingers:

I know it is one of the few examples of 78rpm acetate discs being used to record a live concert in 40’s Russia, NOT tape.
I remember reading that the 4th and 8th Scriabin Sonatas were on the program, and a few etudes op. 42…

Rezpec!

Thanks homie! Haven’t seen different cover than I’ve seen for this…that looks sick Az fuck:rectum:

The  in me can’t help pointing out it’s not a single concert, but a compilation from many he gave in Sofia. This disc has everything that has been released from the broadcasts minus a Rach prelude and 3 piano concertos. From the TE recital on March 2, we actually only have those two pieces (and Erwin put my thoughts on them in to words very eloquently above, which I failed to highlight yesterday).

That makes sense, it would’ve been a weird programme.

Yes, though I just noticed this disc has a different cover than mine! What I said above relates to their first release, from early in the decade.

Haha da Xmofo making da CANDAIN zeem like a cazual :rectum: obzervah

Wutevah da circumstances IMO…dat TE11 from Sofia is one of that most MOFO thngs I’ve ever heard

No he’s far from it. I’m just filling in what he failed to mention.
