My biggest problem with ballade 4 is the rambling opening. Insufferable

The Friedman Ballade 4 roll was wikid. Just my opinion of course, but nobody else thinks the ball 4 opening is a rambling mofo?

I learnt that to take the FRSM exam, and it went together with Bach-Busoni Chaconne and Godowsky Passacaglia for a themed 55-minute programme. I absolutely refuse to play anything else by him, though I’ve had to do two other transcriptions recently.
