i use to be enthraled by zimerman - his chopin ballades, brahms concertos, debussy preludes, liszt totentanz were my favorite.
then i got to see him in concert in the mid 90´s in new york in a program including the debussy images bk l + chopin sonata no 2. also his arrangement of a bach passacaglia. dynamics and overall control i remember were astonishing.
but since i became aware of certain opinions, adversion to recordings, dismisal of audiences, and other diva antics i became fed up with him…
