That sounds like it.

For me though, that Elegy thing is in fact one of the less “jazz sounding” arrangements out there and imho would blend in in a mix of 20th C. Pieces.

Especially since the previous piece is the Scriabin 4th which is “jazz sounding” anyway. So it kind of “had it coming”.

What should you think would be a good follow up instead, if you were the one to decide on it?

talking about da Jazz zound in scrib 4th
i haf recently started looking into tiz (2nd mvt first), bazically da Zcrib just wrote zum very bazic functional harmoniz progrezzion (ii V i) with da F# pedal point and bunch ov jazz chord (#9 resolvez chromatically down to 8, or b13 to 5) and pazz ov az kinda new zchool

which iz very effective but ezzentially quite eazy to decode
