Chailly Beethoven Symphonies

As much as we all discuss and share piano recs, I probably spend more time overall listening to orchestral, violin, chamber, cello, and jazz. So I’m going to post more non-piano music with the hope that there are others here who will enjoy it.

I was listening to this wonderful set over the last couple of days and thought I’d share. Very different Beethoven from your typical modern performance, but quite charming. Chailly’s Brahms set is also good, but not THIS good.

thanks man, I’m gonna take a listen.

Thank you for making this part of the forum active again!

Looking forward to hearing these, Chailly is good conductor and I believe in your recommendation.

Speaking about “different” Beethoven - did you hear Thielemann’s cycle?
