Damn, even with everything in rec 709 video still goes weird. For example the default in VLC which was direct3d11 defaults to graphics card only color management which was disembodied from the windows settings. So far most stable is OpenGL for windows.
I bet this weird shit why people buy apple stuff. You can’t do much with them and they are overpriced but the media side of things probably not as bizarro - tho dunno.

I sure wish they had got to that HO tape before the magenta faded off. He looks greyish but there was nothing there to pull up - just splotches and drift that made the browns neon piss color. HOT!

I do color space and transfer conversion from PAL to 709 in perverse bit depth, deinterlace the buried satellite interlacing from progressive screen cap and double frame rate proper. Upscaled with diffusion first then Topaz regular stuff to push to 4k.
A little better I guess… Even diffusion stuff get a little waxy on total shit source. I miss the models that give people fish eyes a bit tho.

The good news in that discussion is I figured out exactly what’s going wrong with the Richter etude tab and etude 4 vids. the pitch drift is exactly as it would be if the 24 frames per second material was transferred at 25 frames per second.

He gets a roughly 4% gain in speed and not quite a full semi tone pitch lift. Both the speed and the pitch gain confirmed when I checked.

Does anybody have the Doc’s email? I recall the busoni concerto that was on youtube comes from a DVD copy of the broadcast made for him by the white people who arranged it, but the copy joe fallisi distributed is a super crude low bit rate rip of that OG DVD.
Before I bother with the shit copy would be cool to have the real copy instead of gen one trillion mpeg rip from circa 2003 software.
