Ok, I need da zepp to teach moi a few select Chinese phrases on vid.
It’s actually a lot better interp than I would’ve expected. But I don’t like the sound, too much pedal and sotto voce which overall makes it hard to hear what he actually played at times.
Tru, it was actually a pretty decent perf!

He is something else isn’t he. I don’t know, I definitely think he’s talented, it’s just that ever since he became Ze Grate Lang 
it’s as if he believes he’s great by birth and doesn’t have to work to produce something which holds artistic value. I attended a recital with him a few years ago and this Chopin Waltz condenses it perfectly. Some parts and some aspects are very good, others are very poor, and when summing it up it left me with an impression of supreme talent used for music making which sounds cheap and frivolous.
I do think he has done some good things however, and I did appreciate parts of his recital here. It’s just that you also had to sit through this kind of brilliance in between ->
