Tru, I’ve spoken to one of the judges and some fucked up shit goes on there. I went to see some of the prelims and there’s a big load of crap competing here.
Some are real good though, the only Belgians worth it are Phillippe Raskin and Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort if you’re interested 
(also bootlegged there prelims, so if they get somewhere, and there’s interest, i can post them, since those podcasts got deleted ayway)

What did the judges tell you?
I’ve never found Nikolaas Kende interesting. The dude can play, but he’s more a really good piano student than he is an amazing pianist. He also played a SHITload of mistakes, and even went completely shit in the Liszt Ballade coda, which was his own chosen work. (just check the attachment)
Kende is the son of Levente Kende, big ass name here, just too many politics involved. I can post his entire prelims, I just don’t get it how the fuck he ever could advance.
One of the judge told me the prelims are merely to filter out the extreme cases. Everyone that’s just really bad gets voted out, and everyone that’s too good gets voted out. There are pianists that enter the comp that are better than the judges, this can’t happen, so they get kicked out. Ego’s suck.
