I am quite amazed by his playing, especially beethoven…some of the best i have ever heard…too bad he was cut down too soon…
His
4 is randomly mah favorite. There’s some awsome video of him playing the Appassionata out there.
his brotha sons and brahms stuff with testament label is a must.
EMI also issued a number of brotha son discs and da 2-5 pcs except no.1 which he never recorded it.

Testament has issued the 5 Beethoven concerti of Solomon, same with the 2 Brahms concerti. Yeah, he’s an amazing Beethoven pianist. His Tchaikovsky and Scriabin concerti are also awesome.
Solomon’s 1948 Op. 111 is the finest
rec I have ever heard.
Dang, I don’t think I’ve ever heard that Early Op.111.
Though, I can’t imagine it’s better than Richter in Leipzig 1963.
I’ll UL it tomorrow if you like?
I just think it’s so beautiful. But… horses for courses, etc.
can you post a link…i searched but I get no results, unless they already took it down
