Film music

man
it’s been a WHILLLLEEEEE since i watched that

i saw it when i was 14…
the hot-metal to the blood part scared the bejeezuz outta me…

i dreaded the thought of sticking hot metal into any liquid and it jumps up as a monster and eat my face…

DAMN THIS MOVIE~~!!!

'Tis a legendary film for sure (apparently it’s up for a re-make which SUCKS–all those cool special effects will probably end up getting ruined by CGI now, they’ll cast some crap rapper in the Childs role, and they’ll have the obligatory T&A flavour of the month ho added to ruin the all-male cast dynamic).

koji

Tha dog-kennel part is my favorite. Haha fucckk i probably haven’t seen this since i’m 12 yrs. I must rent again :stop:

dude…
no offense, but i don’t need another remake or african-americanized version of anything else (look at P.Diddy in Carlito’s way, OMFG)

re-make is just stupid, if something is SOOO classic, why wouldn’t they just preserve it in the purest form?

and for the T&A part, unless it’s by da

there is just no re-watch value.

o, and kudos to whoever wrote the music of Requiem for a dream, it connects the whole movie.

Definitely check out the DVD Collector’s edition in widescreen–it’s got great commentary (Carpenter and Russell both give interesting takes on the final scene) as well as a wonderful documentary about the film.

koji

i haven’t checked other John Carpenter’s films, is Escape from NY worth checking out?

You’ve never seen that!!! Wow, it’s definitely great (Escape from LA is pretty cool too); Starman is cool, Halloween was great, In the Mouth of Madness, They Live (which features one of the coolest fight scenes ever), Vampires…he made a lot of really neat films.

koji

Is “In the Mouth of Madness” based on a Lovecraft story?? Same name pozz?

n tru Vampires was wikid, n Escape from NY juz totally iNZANE. Escape from LA was kinda sheeyat IMO, except fo tha end when he turns off the power and sends tha planet back to tha stone age.

i will check out Escape from NY

i have seen Halloween for sure, Jamie Lee Curtis, who latter fully blossom into her glory Milfinezz.

the theme was of course catchy

it’s still a cult classic though

Yes, along with the Thing, I’m actually of the opinion is more based on the Lovecraft Novella In the Mountains of Madness, than anything else.
