I think I have a fairly reliable answer for those who are still curious about what really happened between the 1st and the 2nd movement during Dong-Hyek Lim’s playing. according to a Japanese critic, who sat through the entire playing (don’t know his/her name piano.or.jp/enc/special/2005cpn/) Dong-hyek had to have a tuner come and check to see if there was anything wrong, and guess what? there WAS a little tool found inside the piano. if this is true, then I have to say that the Poles are trying to sabotage Dong-Hyek Lim so that nobody gets in the way of Rafal Blechacz (ok, that was a little extreme, but very possible).
