I have heard recordings by other pianists such as Konstantine Scherbakov, Doris Adam, Rudolf Buchbinder, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Lev Vinocour.
Jean-Yves Thibaudet was good. The others were a little bit boring, draggy, colourless, prosaic, prosy, stodgy compare to Evgeny Kissin.

Actually I really love the way Evgeny Kissin performs various piano transcriptions and paraphrases. Evgeny Kissin, Nikolai Tokarev, Arcadi Volodos, Valery Kuleshov left me speechless when I was listenin them performing piano transcriptions.

I know Buchbinder recording, a bit fat performance, but in live concert was wonderful.
