Pozzibly I will post this sometime this week.
please do! thanks.
shiza! ive never see da cliburn in action.
I’ve got some other Cliburn vids too:
Brahms 2, Rach 2, Beethoven 5 and Prok 3. All wikid vids.
Chris, is the Prok3 the one where he conducted from the piano? If so, I’ve been looking for that vid for a long time. Hope you could UL that as well. There is also a legendary Grieg PC somewhere (also with Kondrashin). Lastly, how I wish Cliburn’s performance of Rach3 during the finals of the 1st Tchaik competition would be also made available…
o wow these are awesome
Yeah, the 2(Brahms +Rach) is good - some Japanese weightlifter/bodybuilder posted it on stage6.
You mean on video? The audio of the performance is readily available, and while it is a good performance, it doesn’t come anywhere near the greatness of the RCA rec.
I’d much rather Tchaik comp vids of Terence Judd’s Tchaik 1 and Prok 3.
Btw, I can post(but probably won’t) this Cliburn Tchaik and the Beethoven 5, but I can’t post the Prok 3. Sorry.
Anything you can post would be great. He’s such a legend, yet theres so few recordings and videos of his out there. But the stuff that is is just pure quality performance.

OK, no prob. I’ve seen that Prok 3 years ago on a French channel. Hopefully, it’ll be made commercially available one day, just like the Beethoven, Tchaik, Rach 2 and Brahms 2 vids. ![]()
Are the Tchaikovsky and the Beethoven commercially available? I know the Brahms and Rach come from a Japanese DVD, but I assumed the Beethoven and Tchaikovsky were non commercial.
Yes, Chris. The Tchaik and Beethoven are commercially available from the same label that produced the Brahms and Rach. They were (or still) available at the japanese hmv and amazon websites.
edit: it’s still available - hmv.co.jp/product/detail/1503157
Crap, and here I thought it was some sort of amazing find.
