I’ve heard Feinberg’s is the best. Can anyone confirm this?
zayz no
zayz pozz
zayz wtf
I think Feinberg’s is a bit strange. It’s certainly got some cool moments, but for the most part it’s not that great.
sultanov
the
sounds like he’s playing with his elbows at time but I like it, methinks
hahah da HOG i rememba bein legendary
I like Cziffra’s the best.
hahaha tru a bit zoguduforgettomentiontru
Richter’s is the greatest, Kapell’s is the most perfect and Cziffra’s is very satisfying but mostly just feels like Richter’s with less intensity.
There aren’t many beyond these three that I listen to all that often.
rubinstein live in italy 1961 is one of my favorites
i don’t agree that richter’s is the definitive best, great as it is
but i agree with most of these recordings above, except sultanov
i also like the GHEYLORD’s recording, for a tame and suave approach
rubinstein live '61 isn’t any better than sultanov rec at all. Rather, abit lack of fury at times. great rec nonetheless.
Richter & Sultanov are all you need.
Yes, I’ve excluded Cizffra.
Ogdon’s has a mysterious charm for me.
Ogdon’s is a fine rec, for sure.
And rarndomly, Janina fialkowska’s rec deserves recognition for being the mephisto that launched Hatto’s short career
hahaha…sheeyat. tiz very tru.
da hatto career was fucked b/c of dat.

The Andsnes rec is gensui, although a somewhat dry middle section.
