modern classical - wheres da fury?

Penderecki…

-da Meph

gay

I haven’t heard much Rautavaara and I like what I’ve heard of Penderecki, but again…they’re both 70-80 years old. I mean guys who are making names for themselves right now, not composers who made their names 30-40 years ago. It seems like most of the composers I find who were born in the 60s or 70s tend to compose the kind of crap I mentioned in my first post. I haven’t checked out Liebermann yet, though.

:pimp:

George Flynn but hez already old as well

Corigliano! His etude fantasy is teh shit.

And Currier’s Scarlatti Cadences + Brainstorm, one of the pieces for the Cliburn, is such a wikid piece.
