New Dong Rec

AHAHAHAHA da promo vid a muzzee predicktably

includin a nu DONGAH finnizhin move:

da ZUPAHMAN 8)

WTF is he wearing

I have the same pants and I wear them as pajamas

hiz beethoven 4th iz shit boring.

I am pretty sure most of them are Dolce Gabbana, that’s like the only label he knows.

Disgusting.

Does this mean he’s going to do a Beethoven concerto cycle for DG? He already plays the Emperor. Too bad Eschenbach practically play that often anymore. Eschenbach’s rec of the Beethoven 1st and 5th concerti are wonderful.

Deutsche Grammophon is getting on my nerves. They are worse than any pop label with regard to focusing on marketing rather than quality.

Top notch perf. Magnificent interp. Sophisicated playing. Man, what a great artist.

easily da best disc issued in 2007 and vill pozz remain until his next album. 8)

pozz but there iz a lot of great artists there :gav:

I knew you would do that, kritt! :dong:

seriously guys, aren’t there any aspects that you appreciate him? tru, his facial expression is intolerable for many. likewise, his playing too can be really vexing at times.

he, howevah, iz a unique mofo. tiz mofo possesses a kinda personality that no other pianists ever had.

:dong:

fuckkkk…will moi get banned for tiz?

his facial expressions are annoying - extremely distracting. Rachmaninoff would have been disgusted. But he does have a magnificent technical arsenal. Besides, if he creates controversy…

“unique” doesn’t mean it’s good. “the future of classical music” scares me. he’s a pianoclown with amazing tech, not a pianist. but i don’t want to have this discussion all over again cuz kritty starts it 8)

I try to listen to every new rec I hear objectively. But really, judging from the beet 4 vid his interp is dreadfully dull.

Yes, one must not let his prejudices affect his judgement. Some people love everything their favorite pianist had recorded, even when the playing is not so good.

I guess everything is subjective and that’s why there’s so many different pianists and so much to choose from.
This one makes me barf, though.
Heard him live twice and I swear Schumann was cringing in his grave.

Oh, well.
