A few days ago, I listened to a live broadcast from the Progetto Martha Argerich, where Argerich, Nelson Goerner and two other pianists played the four-piano arrangement of Vivaldi’s 4 Seasons.
It was not great. Apparently they had a conductor on stage also, but so many things were not together. And some of the outer movements just sounded ridiculous e.g. the tremolos (16th/32nd notes in the original string instrumentation) were simply omitted, which gave me a funny feeling in the stomach.
Maybe some of you listened to the broadcast. But has anyone played this arrangement?
