Thank you very much for sharing this! I’m looking forward to listening to these, since the only recordings I know from Walter so far (Mahler) have been extremely compelling! I think Walter’s connections to 19th century tradition should be very revealing indeed! As for Brahms 1 I’ve greatly enjoyed the recording with Bernstein and the Vienna Phil; the 2nd and 4th I enjoy from Carlos Kleiber, especially in live versions.
