More annoying is why that mofo who recorded a horn scale on paper in 1857 didn’t run straight to Weimar and set up a paper factory outside Liszt’s house.

Chopin might have gotten around to composing a Piano Sonata no. 4 before switching to painting as the French school started to take off.

I don’t think that piece is especially difficult, tbh. The Halka fantasy, on the other hand, is an absolute fucker.

I think Chopin would have developed a more contrapunctual style. And would also probably have brought harmony a step into the future. A shame he died so young
