This a pleasing program. Interested in his Franck thanks!
I have a Franck of his from last year
Pretty boring, IIRC.
Dang lugansky, a bit boring in general compared to his early work…
Tiz da conzervatory professor effect
I notice dey all zhare da zame zenzible style
Da kennah too
Lugansky is a button pusher. He has one or two good things from way back in the 90s, but in my book that’s it.
His very first rach etude tab recording and chopin rec were good… everything else sort of pleasant. Live he tamed down a bunch too.
live video w/ Lugansky / Gergiev / Brahms PC 2 just starting. Agree w/ what everyone’s said about Lugansky. I wouldn’t go as far as to call him a button pusher, he has a certain elegance, but he gets the damning description of fatty --‘pleasant’
Gergiev’s son’s gonna play one of the Shchedrin PCs now. PC 6, that’s a new one eh?
Edit: new to me. 2003.
Ahahahah da PRIME LUGY had a moz legendary priztine hi-def zound in raw tech playin
Juz cumpare da ROQUE DVD perfz
Da LUGY make da WHALE n LIB zound lyk dey zeriouzly

Tru dese vids are all highly legendary
I heard Lugy in NYC when da plate conducted him in da rocky pag Rappah
Da playing was pretty good but the tone did not project at all in the awful Avery Fisher Hall acoustics.
