Some of the best ones:
(the op. 70 set is quite interesting, and the two Bellini transcriptions the stand out items imo)
(played in the grand manner)
(a great recording, originally released on a superb disc)
(Imo Moses is enhanced by playing this section on its own and viewing it as theme and variations)
(finally, this would be a great encore)
Lisztās paraphrases are, on the whole, better than Thalbergās, but I firmly believe Thalberg was streets ahead of his other contemporaries in this field (Iāll grant a possible exemption to Fumagalli, but compare fantasies by Herz, Pixis, Dohler, Prudent and others).

This is my view too otherwise, Thalberg wasnāt a great composer but a first class drawing room one. A few times stepping even beyond that.

Barber of Seville is imo da ZLITāz best rec.
On the whole, I think the ones post-duel are better.
