tru I wuz juz liznin to diz

zhorly dere haz to be a betta perf zumwhere, it’z wikid but not perfect

There aren’t that many to choose from.

Dacic - excellent pianism, mad-scientist musicianship. I love it, but it’s not a “proper” reading.
Gekic - too late in his career. Still passable from what I recall.
Howard - quality of playing isn’t high, but musically my memory is that this is one Howard does well in.
Johansen - I don’t remember. His Liszt series ranges from very good to very bad.
Kocsis - good, but that’s as much enthusiasm as I’ve managed to muster despite that he played it in his heyday
Ogdon - as expected, towering musicianship but you can tell he spent about 4 days learning it

There’s France Clidat, though I’m not super familiar with it. Can’t remember what I thought of Andaloro.

For the two piano version, there’s Richter/A. Ginzburg. I seem to recall a Freire / Argerich version, but I’m not certain.

Bavouzet did a nice enough job of the solo one too.

Personally, I’ve never warmed to the piece.

Edit: Freire/Argerich 1999:

Yeah, it’s more like a pre-pimpson extended sonata form experiment
