I saw him play brahms 2 live first time id ever heard of him. I didnt know blacks were into that type of song. It wuz good tho RIP

I saw Watts play the Rach PC2 back around 1998. He seemed annoyed to be there. Pretty brisk but generic reading. The audience wanted him to play an encore but he shook his head and refused. I think he was in a hurry to leave.

Might have been health issues. He had spotty health for the last few decades, not just in more recent years.
