Argerich and Lang

I am shocked and appalled…
I just saw the Verbier Festival website. Argerich is scheduled to play a concert “Carte Blanche” (an annual concert in the Festival where the artist given the Carte blanche chooses what and with whom she plays) on 27 July.

She will play a Mendelssohn piano quartet, then this:
Ravel Ma Mère l’Oye
(Argerich/Lang Lang)
and this:
Schubert Grand Rondeau D 951
(Argerich/Lang Lang)

I can hardly believe it. I remember Argerich herself said that she doesn’t understand the success of Lang Lang… The world really has gone mad…
