The Ruth Crawford Seeger quartet is wonderful, i mentioned it in another thread. I’m not a big nancarrow guy. If you like xenakis, this is a staple. If you guys don’t know Roger Reynolds, he’s a very eminent composer and theorist who’s still teaching at UCSD I believe, was very big on electronics in the 60s and is sort of an icon, I’m not a big fan of his music. Although he was one of the biggest experts on Takemitsu.
