I think is perfeclty fine if you play it good. Im not sure about the Scriabin Fantasy… but still ok. Is just that i dont like it so much.
I think the Haydn would be acceptable, but might come off as more of a “light” piece than a “serious” classical work such as a sonata. I assume you mean Illinois: Urbana? That and Michigan are definately renowned schools, but I’m speaking from the perspective of composition.
Have you considered applying to Indiana Bloomington as well? You should cast your net wide. Lots of people are applying to grad school now with the economy in such shitty conditions… It will be competitive. If you’re avoiding the major conservatories for financial or other reasons you might look into a place like Northwestern?
