I’ve never heard Kapell,

but who is Ruby?

You should familiarize yourself with them; Jack Pfeiffer (his recording engineer) felt that Chopin was leaning over Willy’s shoulder when he recorded them, and I can’t disagree with that feeling.

rubinstein and friedman. though the latter iz pretty damn idiosyncratic. Don’t much like Kapell (sry!), used to like rosenthal but haven’t listened to them for ages.

I forgot about the Rosenthal’s, they’re wonderful; some of ABM’s are also quite lovely.

The best I’ve heard are the :ho:, there’s something that can only be described as magical about them.
