This is an abridged version of this famous work by Chopin. The middle section, which is faster and much more difficult technically, is not necessary. Actually, in my opinion, the work is improved by omitting the middle section. This not only improves the piece of music as a whole, but makes it accessible and easily learnable by the average piano student who otherwise would never be able to learn it due to the excessive difficulties of the middle section.
