really pleased with how some of these have turned out, even the music that I wouldn’t call his best (e.g. opus 2…). it’s a project i really believe in and it’s been 5 years since i decided to learn all of his music. many more to go probably

YOOO this is great praise from you, I really appreciate it. I worked super hard on Night Wind, mostly because I remember one really dizappointing DOC perf at Wigmore when he kinda juz played az fazt as pozzible and … of courze it wuz clean as hell but it waz impossible to understand beyond sounding like he shredded for 30 minutes. The thematic stuff is genuinely really hard to keep in focus for the listener imo, honestly probably the hardest part about playing any Medtner at all.

It’s not obvious that it’s a digi tbh. The sound is pretty nice. Can you do midi-type edits and corrections recording it this way? And what is bandcamp like as a distribution platform? I had been wondering about it for potential use in the future.
