Yes Gilels was a superb chamber/ensemble musician too, as was :rectum:

And I forgot his ensemble recs with Zak!
The Chopin Rondo for 2 pianos and the SS 2 Piano vars on Beethoven are beyond belief.

Great list. The live Prokofiev 8 is wild and primal, even better than Richter. I would also add, for different reasons, the live Hammerklavier.

Agreed. It’s very good. I’m just sad he didn’t play it earlier, when his technique was a bit better.
