Haven’t had one of these for a while. I expect Da Brew to nail it.
11 excerpts, all 88, all zons, all different cumposer nationalities.
Bonus points for guessing da pianist of da no.11
Perhaps put answers in a spoiler so others can guess.
I am at work so I could only use like a minute on this but No. 10 is the Alban Berg sonata op. 1 <3 I feel that I have actually heard all of these but this is extremely difficult with such short excerpts or maybe I am getting rusty.
No. 5 might be Feinberg’s sonata no. 6.
No. 1 The very last notes makes this a 20th century piece
No. 2 sound like Copland.
No. 3 sound like Alkan.
No. 4 sound classical and romantic at the same time
No. 6 sound like Beethoven
NO. 7 sound like Medtner/Rachmaninov’
No. 8 sound like early futuristic Russian music
No. 9 I have no idea
No. 11 I have no idea some kind of minimalism
6 is really annoying, I recognize it so well but I can’t even assign a composer to it. Haydn springs to mind of course with something this fresh and positive, but there’s something telling me it isn’t him.
haha you’re in for a shock…or treat… But I can see why you thought that.
I must admit, I think a few of them are either you know them or you don’t.
6 is quite popular which is why I only gave the 1 phrase.
8 pozz more famous when you see the score.
