da inzane SHRIMP dizzez :

Since 1975, when Krystian Zimerman triumphed in brillant style and collected all the awards- execpt for him and the “case” of Ivo Pogorelic in 1980- nothin has actually happened. We are still waiting for personalities of their caliber.

Five years ago, 18-year-old Chinese Yundi Li won. For the time being, we are still waiting to see if he manages to pay back this credit of confidence…

n da sheeay dat sayz it all :

Will it be possible to avoid the “lottery effect” typical of every competition? This may be difficult.

n da uncovahd politicz note:

We have nothin against artists from even the most distant geographic latitudes.
Of course, we would be especially thrilled if Polish pianists succeeded in this area.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHA

i know a 19 y/o guy from Bydgoszcz from Poland who plays Chopin amazingly and makes such an atmosphere as none of the young pianists in Poland … his name is Rafal Blechacz … i really think he’ll be in the finals !! i hope so as i love his playing … there are lot of pianists from Gdansk where i study but most of them play fuckin technically with no chopin in it so sorrowfully no one might get into the 3d ! the problem with most of young pianists from Poland that we really play fuckin loud and we’re not really aware of the effect on the stage u know … most of polish young pianists are not really touched with concert steinways … pity … but anyhow … there were always progidies in this land so ! chin up !

HAHAHAHAHAH u bring shame to yo country 8)
