I guess Dick has figured out the secret to magically play better. Just get your technician to adjust your piano’s action and voicing to the “rigged” specs and then you and every other pianist will sound just like Horowitz! Why didn’t we think of this before?

I was unaware there were hard parts in the first mvt of the azzpazzion. I’m sure I once played it up a semitone as a dare… and I’ve never praxed the fucking thing since I was about 14.

Just looked into this guy and he’s so full of shit. He’s complaining about pianists cheating and simplifying HR2 but his own “recording” isn’t even close to legit. At 0:46 the left hand is supposed to go down an extra octave but he just ignores that and plays in the same octave as the previous iteration… very interesting…
and then he skips the ascending scale section (among others) which is the hardest part of the piece. What an absolute clown
