Symphonies are extant sketches for piano concertos.
They’re held in such high regard since without them orchestras would have nothing to play when they can’t find a pianist.
I prefer piano versions whenever available to the surviving orchestral reductions, but favs are LvB-6, LvB-9, LvB-7, Fantastique 1 & 2, WAM-40 and Brahms-4.
I may not be familiar with all their movements.
Lol. Pianists have far more trouble finding orchestras than vice versa. Except at the very low levels perhaps
