I’m tryna learn da cuck Mahler’s piano quartet for a university chambah music rectal (not a music univ we’re just amateurs haha)
any advice of fingering for these passages
I take it this isn’t at breakneck tempo.
- Don’t finger Alma
- Top example: bar 1 24/15/24/13/25/14, bar 2 divide them into triplet groups and a variety of convenient solutions shoukd present themselves.
- Lower example: bar 1 25/14/25/14
/13/2 (lower A is being played with the lh anyway), bar 2 14/23/14/23
Mofo solution for bar 2 is to play the triads as alternate rh/lh in the first half of the bar

Pretty bad writing tbh
When composers get overly ambitious without being decent enough pianists and write virtuoso stuff (Tchaik for example) it ends up being kinda too much work for the weaker sounding effects you’re getting
