You ain’t kidding! apaprently we used to get everyone in the 60’s but now they can fly for a coupla hours across the northen hemisphere and get the same amount of money so why bother sitting on a plane for 26 hours!
At least they’ve started an international concert series here, we got Piers Lane, Boris Berman, Demidenko, Hamelin so something’s happening.

Hough is weak compared to Freire - trust me… Freire absolutely owns everything on that program. His Les Adieux is stunning and his Schumann is the best I’ve heard of any living pianist.
yea, but Hough is still a great pianist. i was merely trying to point out that
“only having Hough performing in my area” isnt such a bad thing.
