I think i have more recs of the goldburgahs than anything else yet I rarely listen to bach. Still have problems connecting with a lot of his keyboard zheeyats.

While Sokolov certainly is one of my favourite pianists, as I mentioned above I really donāt care for this recording however (or anything really he did at the time). Iād like him to revisit it now 40 years later.

If youāve never tried Bach/Busoni Goldbergs give it a shot. Donāt agree with everything in it, but itās richly rewarding. Now whenever I hear the original I find myself missing some of the Busoni modifications.

I still like Perahia better than both. He plays it like a flowing river with limited hair tossing banjo moments. How this mr Goldberg gonna chill and sleep with all this Sock racket?
