Great Forgotten Pianists

I don’t think it’s particularly clever or funny.
People on Youtube are stupid, like OMG :unamused:

Passed it now

btw, what is mrgreen?

Post comments. I doubt they will last long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYx3XJi_X98

I posted about the nature of the crescendi on this last year and it was gone within the day. Some of them sound like they get louder within the chord, like someone’s manipulated the crescendo volume very crudely in audacity or something.

Damn, the midi renderings always sound so laughable.

Zero expression

this was uploaded today…
jeez, he keeps this MIDI junk coming.

da comments:

This Claudio Cassetta is somewhat ubiquitous :unamused: It’s a shame his chum Maurizio Midi never gets any credit :open_mouth:

yeah, the midi deserves rezpek for playin better den da LEZB0

:pimp:
A rare attack of fury from da lezbo:
dailymail.co.uk/news/article … ttack.html

HAHAHAHAHA.

datz rite. If only he applied that pent up fury to his 88 playing.

Even with Ho in JAP level tech, one can release sum anal stression.

I don’t really know what to make of him as a person.
Only met the dude once when he came to my school for a lecture-recital.
Mikey had some interesting interactions with him iirc. :dong:

I had a masterclass at one point with him on da Rappah 9, his advice was basically to play it slower and quieter and more seriously.

I remember he told a dude who seriously owned da Pimp FF to play it slowly because it is only marked allegretto.

daim, those are 32nd notes tho 8)

he’s nice enough in person.
My problem with him is that his treatment of Liszt’s works simply reinforces the misconception that most of it is second-rate bombast music.

Hell, listen to his playing of some of the more virtuoso compos like da Contrabandistica or da big dick Gross fant on Hizpanic themes.

Those recs are impossible to listen to unless you run them through audacity or smoke meth before you listen 8)

I actually agree with him on FF.

If you know the Italian language, (and dialects) you would immediately notice the jokes made with distorsions of words:

Ervino di sti colli: the wine of this hills (in Roman dialect)
Roby Vecchi : junk dealer
Jiro tsunamoto: Travel on a motorbike
Melina dallorto: Apple from the garden.
Omar juan te bell: Look at the sea how beautiful it is.
Andrey at Spassov: I would go for a walk.
Grant e Gross: great and big.
Criside Nervi: Nervous Breakdown.
Jee Radisky: record player
Galina Kocalova: The chicken catches the eggs.
Mel henson: silly.
Oscar Rafon: cockroach (in neapolitan)
Andras Thort: It will go wrong.
Morton Preston: Dead soon.
Cor de Rott: Broken strings.
Sekuro kamamazo: Sure I will kill me.
Sam brauningann: It looks like a cheat.
Rob de matt: Things of crazy people.
Vera cznerny delmar: True sea Fisch.
Ma noncecasky: You will not believe.
Paul arhost: roast chicken.
Scott Akemal: Burns, what a pain.
Fred Okan: very cold.
Lara Ghost: lobster.
Matt Tarell: crazy.

Etc.

Those are better jokes, but only a select number of people would get it and presumably they’re in on the joke already.
So I still don’t see the point of posting fake recs on youtube.

It should sound “slow” in da way dat Rach’s own recs sound slow until you compare with da metronome and get raped! 8)

I’ve heard him play live a few times and generally thought it pretty meh but he gave a lecture/recital on da pimp at college and finished with the 2nd mephisto waltz - it was actually amazing! Powerful and demonic.

I heard him play the Meph 2. One of the few Liszt pieces he can actually manage. 8) aside from it being in tempo for once, it was rather unremarkable 8)

I legit can’t remember what I heard him play, so random opera transcription pozz.
Obviously didn’t leave much of an impression.

Possibly da Hugenots? (Aka huge nuts).

I heard im play da Tchaikovsky Grand Son - I dun remember sheeyat 8)
