“One of the artistic goals for Oleg Pokhanovski is performing a series of double concertos for violin and piano with orchestras in the same evening: Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and First Piano Concerto, Brahms Violin Concerto and Second Piano Concerto, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and Rachmaninoff Third Piano Concerto, Paganini First Violin Concerto and Liszt First Piano Concerto, Prokofiev Second Violin Concerto and Second Piano Concerto, Wieniawski First Violin Concerto and Chopin Second Piano Concerto.”

He is a full-time violin professor at University of Manitoba and he has only a few hours a week to practice.Given some free time he can play world-class piano. This rach#3 is his only piano video so far,it`s pretty fucking good for even a full-time pianist.
Very talented guy by the looks of it. Really fine violinist, but in all fairness I know a fair number of pianists who are more deserving to play with orchestra, heh.
There has never been a 100% clean live performance of rach#3 by anybody,(listen carefully to Horowitz and count mistakes and even memory lapses). This guy is a full-time violin professor.Have you ever heard any instrument being played professionally by a full-time professor?Playing Rach#3 is a full-time job.He manages to play both instruments professionally with a few hrs of practice each week.
