Hoewel eerder een programma met Chopin, Ravel en Godowsky is aangekondigd, heeft Krystian Zimerman tot zijn spijt moeten besluiten het gedeelte ná de pauze aan te passen. Dit besluit is het gevolg van een lange periode van ziekte, waardoor hij onvoldoende gelegenheid heeft gehad zijn originele programma op de voor hem zo kenmerkende perfecte wijze voor te bereiden. De ziekte heeft hem zelfs gedwongen vele recitals in de voorgaande maanden tot en met begin juni jl. te annuleren. Het recital in de serie Meesterpianisten kan gelukkig doorgang vinden, maar een programmawijziging was onvermijdelijk.

De eerder aangekondigde werken van Ravel (Valses nobles et sentimentales) en Godowsky (Zes delen uit de suite “Java”) komen te vervallen.

Even though earlier a programme with Chopin, Ravel and Godowsky was announced, Zimerman regretfully decided to adjust the part after the break. This decision was made as a result from long periods of illness, which gave him insufficient time to prepare the original programme to the state of perfection that he is known for. The illness even forced him to cancel many recitals in the past couple of months. The recital in the Meesterpianisten series can luckily still have place, but the programme-change was inevitable.

The works by Ravel and Godowsky (tha fucking java suite) are cancelled.
