I started out playing classical, but now I am more into Jazz. There is so much conflicting information about the development of Jazz technique on the piano.
Which pianist has the best Jazz technique?

Art Tatum
Oscar Peterson (who imo is the technical equal of Tatum and whose music I tend to prefer)
Nikolai Kapustin (the fluency and clarity in the playing of his own works is truly dumbfounding.)
Errol Garner
McCoy Tyner
Monk and Evans are amazing in their own ways, but didn’t have massive techniques (esp Monk).

tatum is the greatest pianist I ever heard, not just out of the jazz legends. Few can match his fingers.
