Although depends on $$.

The good thing about volunteering as a page turner, everything is free 8)

Well if it’s free you should definitely go!

hahaha dis promo pic

here’z da unedited verzion:

Well its not like she’s nikolayeva or anything.

Concert was quite nice. Octave jumps in schumann was damn impressive. Crazy fast and very accurate. Nice gaspard, though maybe a bit on the rushy side. Generally too much pedal, making everything kinda foggy, but made some nice effects and a lot of good moments of music.

Rezembles more the edited or unedited in person?

The unedited tru, although with makeup on twaz not so bad 8)

sounds like you had a nice experience; I’d like to see a solo recital live. She played certainly the worst SS2 I’ve ever heard live with BSO a few years back, and looked genuinely embarassed to have received a standing ovation from a few people in the audience (who probably are the kind of kind-hearted deaf folk who stand for anything)

that said, I know some people are really enthusiastic about her so maybe she just had a bad day

I have to say I hate it how easily people give standing ovations.
Usually, I refuse to stand when I don’t think it’s deserved, even if I’m the only person still seated.
Of all the performances I’ve attended over the years, I can think of only one occasion when it was really justified (and funnily enough that time I was in the minority).
Maybe I’m just a tight bastard; I don’t like giving tips either 8)

RE Lise de la salle, there’s a pretty nice Chopin F minor concerto on youtube, she definitely has a wikid tech and good sound.
