Recently been listening to less known or 20th century pianists like yakov zak, hofmann, lhevinne etc.
Hoping to find some new pianists to listen to (not necessarily 20th century)
Alfred Cortot, Benno Moiseiwitsch, Grigory Ginzburg, and Maria Grinberg are some of my favorite old school pianists.
Yeah, especially her Schumann…it’s the bee’s knees.
I also recommend Lola Astanova
If you like the old school pianists you will LOVE this
She got a burnished tone and soaring lines!
shes good

Thank you everyone for the suggestions!
Actually also interested in finding some more female pianists aswell, listened to rosa tamarkina’s 3rd scherzo and its probably my favorite interpretation of it.
Such efortless technique! And such a loving heart aswell!!!
Yeah hes crazy, listened to his don juan recently, one of my favorites, although i think sometimes he plays a bit faster than i like.
